The European Investigation Delegation of Hengshui City Visited the Swiss-Sino Innovation Center and Signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement

On October 26th, 2018, The European Investigation Delegation of Hengshui Municipal City arrived in Switzerland and visited the Swiss-Sino Innovation Center. The members of the delegation included Wang Wei, the Deputy Mayor of Hengshui Municipal Government, Fan Qingfa, the Head of Anping County Government, Zhang Shimin, the Head of Taocheng District Government, Nie Yumin, the Director of Foreign Affairs Office of Hengshui Municipal Government, Cheng Haichao, the Director of the Development and Reform Bureau, Anping County Government, as well as the representatives of entrepreneurs. The delegation hold a meeting with the Swiss-Sino Innovation Center, and then signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Wu Ke, the Secretary General of Swiss-Sino Innovation Center, Project Managers, including Shen Jiayun, Ding Huanyu and Xu Lili, Startup founders Liu Dan and Jiang Shan attended the meeting.
At the beginning, Wu Ke, on behalf of the Swiss-Sino Innovation Center, gave a warm welcome to the European Delegation of Hengshui Government. Then, he introduced the current economic and industrial development in Switzerland, as well as its advantages in technology and innovation. Switzerland is good at research while China has strengths in implementation and scaling due to the large market and agile working style. Based on such complementarity between China and Switzerland, the Swiss-Sino Innovation Center focuses on the incubation of Swiss I tech firms in both lands. It has also successfully landed a number of tech companies Ningbo.

Afterwards, Wang Wei, the Deputy Mayor of Hengshui City Government, introduced the geographical location and industrial development of Hengshui city. He also pointed out the huge opportunities thanks to the regional integration of Beijing municipality, Tianjin Province and Hebei Province. Wang Wei stressed that the Hengshui Government has issued a series of policies to promote science and technological innovation as well as talents recruitment. Besides, the Government is also in pursuit of the goal“one valley, one port and one center”. To achieve the goal, they are now building a new ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship in Hengshui.

Later, founders of the semiconductor and the sustainable financing startups presented their projects.. The Hengshui delegation gave a high praise to these projects, and gave some practical suggestions on basis of their experiences in industrial infrastructure and actual project cases of Hengshui City.
Fruitful results were achieved during the meeting. The Taocheng District Government signed strategic cooperation agreements with the Swiss-Sino Innovation Center . Further exchanges and cooperation are expected from the both sides, so as to help Swiss tech startups incorporated in Hengshui city.
