Founded in 2013, TRS develops recycling solutions for used tyres. The startup innovated several new technologies in order to extract the most optimal quality of rubber powder out of the scrap tyres and has developed new applications in which the rubber powder can be used.
Staffan Ahlgren, CEO and co-founder of TRS, travelled to China in 2016 for the first time with the venture leaders China program. This experience helped him to understand how the Chinese market worked. He explained “It was through venture leaders China program that I first discovered the business culture in China. It allowed me to meet serious partners who advised me and shared some of their expertise with me. Their knowledge was incredibly useful in the negotiations with our new partner, the Longjiang Environmental Protection Group.”
