  • Jianhua FENGDirector

    PD Dr. med. et phil. at Department of Clinical Research, University Hospital of Bern. He is a co-founder and former president of the Chinese Association of  Science and Technology in Switzerland (CASTS). He has many contacts and relations with the Swiss and Chinese government, universities and industries. He sits also on the board of the New Huadu Business School (Switzerland). He serves as an overseas board member of the Western Returned Scholars Association (WRSA), overseas vice president of Beijing Association of Overseas-Chinese Hi-tech Entrepreneurs (BAOHE), overseas committee member of All-China Federation of Returned Overseas, overseas committee member of the Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese of Jiangsu Province and Beijing Xicheng District as well, and overseas talent advisor for several of China’s domestic governments.

  • Paul SchenkerDeputy Director

    Paul Eduard Schenker-Bodmer is a major serial investor based in Switzerland. He is fully committed to support the development of science and health-care research. The Swiss businessman has a large expertise in the field of biotechnology, especially in diagnostics-related companies. His most relevant achievement has been successfully co-founding and investing in Prionics Corporation (Switzerland) in 1996. It was an animal health diagnostics company completely acquired by multinational firm Thermo Fisher Scientific to become its subsidiary in 2014. Later on, in 2016, Paul Schenker invested in Imedos Corp, a company currently based in Germany and pioneering the Retinal Microvessel Analysis. More recently, in 2017, he has founded, Schenker Trading (China), committed to offer advanced diagnostic tools for the early detection of various diseases. He has also a great entrepreneurship and investing experience on other fields like IT and real-estate. With his background and expert vision he will help the scientific committee of the Deep Breath Initiative (DBI) evaluating the feasibility of the submitted projects.

  • Ke WUSecretary-General

    Dr. sc. ETH Zurich, specialized in quantitative finance. Dr. Wu has rich experience in business operations, organization management and coordination, especially in Chinese market. He has more than 10 years of experience in the secondary market investment, and nearly 5 years of experience in the primary market. Dr. Wu founded Shanghai Qingke Investment Management Co., Ltd. and serves as the chairman of the board. He is also the vice president of Peking University Alumni Association in Switzerland (PKUAACH) and the board member of Chinese Association of Finance Professionals in Switzerland (CAFPS). He served as the president of Association of Chinese Students and Scholars in Zurich (ACSSZ) for two years. He holds a Master degree of Mathematical Finance from Columbia University in the US, a bachelor degree of Economics from Peking University and a bachelor degree of Mathematics from Beijing Normal University in China.

  • Ting LiDeputy Secretary-General

    Doctor of Education at the University of Geneva, Switzerland, postdoctoral at the Finnish Institute for Educational Research, researcher at the School of Psychology and Educational Sciences and Confucius Institute at the University of Geneva, Switzerland, member of the board of several European Educational Associations, and consultant of Beijing Liwu Educational Psychology. She served as the president of Association of Chinese Students and Scholars in Geneva for two years(2014-2016). She created the Association of Sinophone Students of the University of Geneva in 2015. In recent years, she has devoted herself to the research on the development of children's creativity, autonomy and agency in learning, as well as the teaching reform and innovation research in the early childhood and basic education stages. She has professional knowledge background in many fields such as psychology, pedagogy, anthropology, and art. She is proficient in English, French, German, Italian and other languages and has rich first-line teaching practice experience.

    Dr. sc. ETH Zurich. Executive director of Tsing Venture Advisor of a leading EU Digital Health Incubator. Director in BD & Licensing from Bayer Healthcare Innovation leader. Co-founder of a Swiss biotech company.

  • Lisha ZHAExecutive Deputy Director

    Dr. Lisha ZHA received her Ph.D. in Braunschweig University of Technology in Germany in 2015, focusing on immunology. Since 2017, she has been a researcher at Inselspital of the University of Bern, Switzerland. She is also an adjunct professor at Zhengzhou University. In addition to her extensive basic research experience, her research results were published in several international high-level SCI journals as the first author. Dr. Lisha ZHA is also the main founder of Affinibody LifeScience in Switzerland. She was the founder of the Swiss Double Summit Forum (DUPEAK). She was interviewed by SwissInfo and China's official media Xinhua News as well as CCTV News. In addition, Dr. Lisha ZHA also led three overseas doctors to return to China and start a business. The rich industry experience gives Dr. Zha an unique investment vision in the bio-industry.

  • Marta CaoExecutive Deputy Director

    2003 DESS student in urban sustainable development at the University of Lausanne in Switzerland. Executive Master of Business Administration at IMD (Institute of Management Development in Lausanne). ESG project consultant. She is based in Switzerland, has deeply engaged in bio-medical project management and investment, innovation enterprises creation, business development, and senior management of corporate. She is currently working as senior advisor of several Swiss listed and private companies, as well as investor and partner of life sciences projects and carbon offset and emission reduction projects.

  • Xun WEIDeputy Secretary-General

    Doctor of engineering, master of chemistry. Xun Wei has worked in three Swiss research institutions (PSI, EMPA and ETH Zurich) with a focus on renewable energy. She has excellent communication skills and a keen understanding of cultural differences. Since 2010, she adjusted her career path towards cross-cultural communication and management. Currently she is the director of operations at Xinrui Business School Switzerland in close cooperation with the University of Zurich. She is a board member of the Chinese Association of Science & Technology in Switzerland (since 2012) and the Swiss-Chinese Association (since 2016).

  • Jiayun SHENDeputy Secretary-General

    Ms. Jiayun Shen is a Ph.D. candidate at the Swiss Federal Institute for Technology in Lausanne (EPFL). Her research focuses on how innovation actors coordinate for a smart metropolis. Parallel to her research, she works part-time in the team of Open Innovation and Corporate Venturing at Swiss Post Group, a state-owned enterprise in Switzerland. She is responsible for academic partnership management, business cooperation and start-up screening in Asia, and supports the “Smart City” strategy as well as project coordination in the corporation. Before her Ph.D., she studied building technology at Tongji University as a bachelor and obtained her Master degree in Energy-efficient and sustainable building at the Technical University of Munich.

  • Dennis ZHUChief Representative of China

    Extensive cross-border & cross-industry innovative experience in China and Europe. Co-founder of several AR and IoT companies, advisor for Guangzhou DeepMirror, a meta-verse unicorn in spatial intelligence, China Advisor for the St. Gallen Symposium. Dennis has held various senior positions such as General Manager China of WayRay, a leading AR-HUD company headquartered in Zurich, Audi China, Mercedes-Benz China, and Canton Fair, the biggest trade fair in China. He made graduate studies at the Hochschule Pforzheim (Germany) and at University of. St. Gallen (Switzerland) after his bachelor study at Beijing Foreign Studies University (China).

  • Lili XUthe partner of Marketing Department

    Ms. Xu, Lili served as the head of industrial cooperation in the Central China Region of the JD Cloud Business Department and a marketing manager at the business division of Bairong Investment Group based in Beijing. Ms. Xu joined as a member of the "Overseas Young and Middle-aged Chinese Leaders Workshop" at Tsinghua University. Ms. Xu is quite familiar with China's industrial policy and industrial investment development, and has acquired rich practical experiences in China's industrial cooperation and integrated e-commerce marketing fields in the past years.

  • Yingnan LIUSSIC Project Manager; Swiss-Sino(Ningbo) Technology Incubator Deputy general manager

    Master of Science in Microbiology. He works at Swiss-Sino(Ningbo) Technology Incubator as a deputy general manager.He has rich experience in domestic high-level talent project declaration,as well as good communication and coordination ability. Before joining SSIC, Yingnan worked in the Quality Management Department of Nestlé R&D Center in Switzerland and as a manager of the Language Center of St. Augustine University in the Philippines as well.

  • Yuting DENGProject Manager

    The former president of Association of Chinese Students and Scholars in Zurich, a former consultant of World Intellectual Property Organization. He is a doctoral student in ETH Zurich, focusing on Intellectual Property Managment and Law & Economics. His academic background are Mathematics and Applied Mathematics(Bachelor) and Management Science and Engineering (Master). During his master, Yuting Deng passed the China BAR examination. In last two years, he presided over and participated in more than ten research projects at the national and provincial levels.

  • Zhipeng YESenior Researcher

    Dr. YE obtained his PhD in management from Tsinghua University and a joint PhD from the University of Zurich, Switzerland. He has long been devoted to industrial development and technology innovation research, especially on regional innovation networks and cross-boundary governance topics. He has provided policy-consulting services for the Chinese multi-level governments, including the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Commerce, Municipalities of Shanghai, Hangzhou, Fuzhou and Kunshan. He has been selected as one of the top 100 Young Scholars of Industrial Research in China and the Shanghai Pujiang Talent Program.

  • Liang Shuyu, Ph.D.Head of Hi-Tech Innovation

    Dr. Liang got his PhD from ETH Zurich. His major research interests are focused in the field of new materials and new energy. In addition to his research interests, Dr. Liang also acts as a board member and chairman of Chinese Association of Material Science and Energy Technology in Switzerland.
