In order to promote the development of science and technology innovation industry in Hangzhou and strengthen international academic exchange, SSIC invited Prof. Lothar Thiele, member of the Academia Europaea, vice-president of ETH Zurich and chairman of Zurich science and technology park, to attend the Launching Ceremony of Swiss Science & Technology Innovation Center in Hangzhou Qiantang Smart City and conducted a three-day visit in Hangzhou.

Zhongliang CHEN, supervisor of Dptech, was in charge of reception and introduced the company's independent innovation achievements in the fields of network, security and delivering application, as well as significant performance in market development. The delegation visited Westlake University
On the afternoon of October 10th, Prof. Lothar Thiele visited Westlake University, accompanied by the delegation of SSIC and Zhejiang Cybernaut. Professor Tian XU, vice-chancellor of Westlake University, presented a detailed introduction on the educational mission, university’s history, management system, staff status, university scale and educational platform of Westlake University, as well as the construction of Yunqi and Yungu campus. Then a symposium was held in Westlake University. Prof. Lothar Thiele believed, Westlake University has made bold exploration and innovation to promote the transformation and application of cutting-edge basic scientific research achievements, as well as the attention and investment of Chinese social forces to rejuvenate the country through science and education.

On the morning of October 11, the Swiss Science and Technology Innovation Center, located in Qiantang Smart City of Hangzhou, was officially launched. Prof. Lothar Thiele, member of the Academia Europaea, vice-president of ETH Zurich and chairman of Zurich science and technology park attended the opening ceremony. He discussed the cutting-edge trend of China-Switzerland digital economy with Prof. Chao WU, researcher of 100-talent program and doctoral supervisor of Zhejiang University. Doctor Ke WU, Secretary-General of SSIC, and Mr Bin CHEN, general manager of Zhejiang Cybernaut, signed a cooperation agreement on the joint construction of Swiss Science and Technology Innovation Center in Qiantang Smart City, Hangzhou.

Under the cooperation of SSIC and Zhejiang Cybernaut, Swiss Science and Technology Innovation Center attracts the science and technology innovation companies in Switzerland and other European as its main part, based on the capital and technology industry resources of Zhejiang Cybernaut fund and its overseas innovation incubation center (Europe and Switzerland), to set up an internationalized innovation platform for human resource incubation, technology exchange and industrial agglomeration. Swiss Science and Technology Innovation Center will introduce a number of high-level foreign talent projects in line with the characteristics of Jianggan Industry, such as digital economy, intelligent manufacturing and information technology, and accelerate the organic integration of Swiss technology and Chinese capital, as well as Swiss brands and the Chinese market, so as to help Hangzhou optimize the ecology of international talent entrepreneurship and innovation.

On the afternoon of October 11th, Prof. Lothar Thiele, accompanied by the delegation from SSIC and Zhejiang Cybernaut, had a visit to the headquarters of Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology Co.,Ltd and learned the business layout of Hikvision and the research & development results of "black Technology". Hikvision Visitor Intelligence and Security Experience Hall is the main area to visit and the experience of the hall is very impressive. During the discussion and exchange session, Shiliang PU, senior vice president of Hikvision and president of the institute, introduced the development situation, investment strategy and internal management of Hikvision. The two parties made cordial and friendly exchanges, and looked for future cooperation opportunities in business in order to enhance mutual benefit and win-win situation.

On the morning of October 12, Prof. Lothar Thiele and the delegation visited the exhibition hall of Alibaba Ant Financial Group and experienced a detailed understanding of its development history, corporate culture, operation and strategic planning of the Group. In the Ant Financial Services business exhibition area, the global leading payment network, rural financial development prospect and risk management system based on artificial intelligence in the DT era of ant financial services was intuitively interpreted. Prof. Lothar Thiele praised the Ant Financial's value orientation of building an open and shared credit system and financial service platform, redefining financial services with data technology, and providing safe and convenient inclusive financial services for global consumers and small and micro businesses.

On the afternoon of Oct.12th, Prof. Lothar Thiele visited the State Key Lab of CAD& CG of Zhejiang University, accompanied by Prof. Chao Wu, researcher of the 100-talent project and doctoral supervisor of Zhejiang University. Relying on the computer, mathematics, machinery and other disciplines of Zhejiang University, the laboratory has undertaken a number of national science and technology major research projects and international cooperation projects, and has made a number of important achievements in the basic research and system integration of computer-aided design and graphics, which has exerted a great international academic influence. The laboratory has the first-class hardware and software platform and rich digital resources.
A visit to the State Key Lab of CAD& CG, Zhejiang University
Prof. Lothar Thiele, member of the Academia Europaea, vice-president of ETH Zurich and chairman of Zurich science and technology park believes that Switzerland, as an innovative country ranking the top of the global innovation index for nine consecutive years, has the top technological research and development capabilities and cutting-edge innovation concepts while China has huge market potential and talent. After the three days of investigation, he felt that Hangzhou is an attractive city of cultural and financial integration. He looked forward to seeing China and Switzerland collide more sparks and create more space for cooperation in digital economy and other fields, as well as seeing projects landed in Hangzhou in the future and conducting further cooperation and exchange with relevant enterprises in Hangzhou.
